First-Place Award-Winning Healthcare Design: American Society of Interior Designers (Way To Go Mom!)
Dr. Lampert’s Medical Facility and Ambulatory Surgery Center won First Place for Healthcare Design Florida by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Award-winning ASID Interior Designer Adele L. Lampert dreamt of creating an environment of harmony and balance with which to surround her son’s patients. Adele L. Lampert had won many first-place ASID awards with her design company in Chicago, but this was the first that she had done so with her son, Dr. Joshua Lampert.
Having Surgery in an AHCA-Accredited Ambulatory Surgery Center Decreases the Patient's Risk of Exposure to Resistant Bacteria Like Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA), Which is More Commonly Found in Hospitals.
Having surgery in the hospital poses an ever-increasing risk of acquiring a nosocomial (hospital-acquired) infection from a multidrug-resistant pathogen like MRSA. In hospitals, this continuous rise in nosocomial infections with antibiotic-resistant bacteria like MRSA is typically explained by the indiscriminate use of antibiotics and the number of severely ill patients being treated there. Most infectious disease experts agree that the most common breeding ground for multidrug-resistant bacteria is within the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU). As the number of ICU beds increase, the number of nosocomial infections also increases.
