From Dr. Lampert:
EXPLANT, LIFT AND FAT TRANSFER: This young and athletic mother had painful capsular contracture of her 15 year old saline breast implants. The pain from her breast implants had a significant impact on her musculo-skeletal system.
Her breast implant pain limited her ability to perform activities of daily living, work and household chores. She was also worried that she was developing some breast implant illness symptoms. She wanted her breast implants out, but she presented a challenge because she had 310 cc breast implants and proportionally little breast tissue.
Her breast tissue had thinned and stretched from the underlying implants which worsened over time. She was at fairly high risk for post explant breast deformity.
I performed a bilateral breast explant, capsulectomy (total or enbloc), breast lift, and fat transfer with liposuction for fat harvest.
She is very athletic, so fat was harvested from multiple areas in order to improve definition and also allow abdominal etching.
During explant surgery, her breast mound wanted to collapse. When this happens, there is a significant concern for nipple inversion and indentation. Breast lift, or mastopexy and fat graft really helped prevent this during surgery.
Here she is only 1 month after surgery. She is still swollen.
I am excited to see how her results settle and soften as her swelling decreases and her abdominal 6 pack abs definition improves! 😄
