Breast Reconstruction
From Dr. Lampert:
Breast Cancer Reconstruction Revision
Prior failed breast reconstruction by a different surgeon. This patient had breast cancer on the left breast 10 years ago where she then had a lumpectomy. She had breast implants placed in 2013 by a prior surgeon and also had fat grafting to the left breast where she had a gap from the lumpectomy. It was an improvement but over time the fat grafted area became deformed again and it created a recurrent defor mity. We had decided to perform a staged bilateral breast reconstruction with two operations. She also desired larger breasts. In the first operation we performed a left breast implant removal with capsulectomy, left breast mastopexy and placement of a tissue expander
