Breast Reconstruction
From Dr. Lampert:
This patient, in her 40's, was treated for right sided breast cancer with a mastectomy. With another plastic surgeon, she initially underwent right breast (autologous) reconstruction with a flap from her abdomen. After undergoing several operations to both breasts with another plastic surgeon, she was unhappy and came to see me. I performed a revision of both breasts for reconstruction. I placed bilateral breast implants, lifted and revised scars initially. Months later I revised her nipple reconstruction on the right. Here she is now ready for nipple tattoo and color match. Typically I have patients wait at least 3 months for wounds to heal prior to tattoo.
