This young lady complained of back pain and bra strap grooving from her large breasts. She desired a breast reduction to alleviate these common problems associated with macromastia, or breast hypertrophy. I used a superior pedicle technique with a vertical pattern skin excision to shape the breast. Redundant skin excess was chased with a scar extension into the fold. (No “anchor scar” was used. I try to avoid it when possible as the scars near the sternum - cleavage area can be more visible in a dress or bathing suit).
