Breast reduction with a superior medial pedicle and vertical scar technique. She has a lollipop scar with a small extension along her inframammary fold. This 28 year old patient complained of macromastia (or very large breasts) she had back pain, bra strap grooving rashes (or intertrigo) and breast pain and discomfort. She wanted a reduction of the large ptotic (or droopy) breasts.
I feel that the superior medial pedicle technique provides better upper pole fullness and a better
(less boxy) shaped breast
