From Dr. Lampert:
Abdominal Etching and Gynecomastia Surgery: This athletic man in his early 50's had a prior surgery with another plastic surgeon for gynecomastia. He was not satisfied with the remaining breast tissue and chest skin laxity, specifically near the junction of his pectoralis muscle and his axilla (or arm pit). Despite being very active in the gym, this athlete also desired correction of the thin yet stubborn layer of fat covering his otherwise well defined rectus abdominis (or 6-pack) muscles. I performed abdominal etching (or selective liposuction) to better define his abdominal wall musculature. This helped further highlight his naturally well developed and strong rectus abdominis and oblique abdominal wall core muscles. I also performed liposuction of the chest and excision of his lateral chest wall skin redundancy to better define and demonstrate his natural pectoralis major muscle definition. He is shown here 6 months post-operative. His scars are still softening and fading.
