This young lady in her early 20's had an earlobe repair performed. She is 5 weeks postop and scars are still fading - but ready for a new ear piercing. I have tried a variety of techniques for ear lobe reduction and earring tear repair. I still feel that nothing beats a well executed wedge excision with a good skin edge eversion and meticulous closure. This is an office procedure performed under slowly administered local anesthesia - that is virtually painless. Typically 5 - 6 weeks later the patient is ready for a new set of earrings. (Nothing too heavy please!)
