Nasal Reconstruction Partial Amputation: Horse Bite. This young lady was bitten by a horse when she was 17. The nasal defect was full thickness and involved nasal skin cover, cartilage, the nasal rim, soft triangle, and internal nasal lining. Here she is several months after I performed a staged nasal reconstruction using a Menick style folded forehead flap and ear cartilage graft. This photo is a few months after the last planned stage which involved nostril rim revisions and dermabrasion. Pink scars still have yet to fade.
