From Dr. Lampert:
I met this brave young lady when she was 14. A dog bite accident resulted in a partial nasal amputation and missing segment of her upper lip. As the raw wound surfaces healed up, the left nostril completely closed. When I first met her, her left nostril was missing and her upper lip scar was significantly retracted. 14 months and 5 operations later, a new nostril and left nasal also was created with a staged, pre-expanded forehead flap. Rib and ear cartilage grafts were used for support. Lip scar revision and fat grafting were also performed. Here she is 5 months post-op after the last operation. Immature scars and postoperative edema should still subside.
